Local agents compare Progressive, GEICO and more while you're on the phone. Buy on the call, and your proof of insurance arrives by email.
You shouldn't need an afternoon and a 40-question web form to insure a car. Call one of our offices, tell us about the vehicle and who drives it, and we'll compare the companies we work with while you're on the line. Pick the policy that fits and buy it right there. You never have to come in: we take payment by card or bank draft and email your proof of insurance, ID cards and documents.
Buying a car right now? We can email proof of insurance straight to the dealership's finance office. See the car-buying checklist.
Liability. Pays for injuries and property damage you cause to other people. Every state requires it, and the minimum is usually far below what a serious accident costs.
Uninsured and underinsured motorist. Pays for your injuries when the driver who hit you has no insurance, or not enough. Missouri requires uninsured motorist coverage. How UM and UIM work.
Collision. Repairs or replaces your car after an accident, whoever caused it.
Comprehensive. Covers damage that isn't a collision: hail, theft, fire, flood, vandalism, a deer, a falling limb. Hit a deer?
Medical payments. Helps with medical bills for you and your passengers regardless of fault.
Add-ons. Rental reimbursement, roadside assistance, and on some policies gap coverage, accident forgiveness and custom equipment.
Every Missouri policy must include liability of at least $25,000 per person and $50,000 per accident for injuries, $25,000 for property damage, and uninsured motorist coverage of $25,000 per person and $50,000 per accident. Kansas and Oklahoma share the 25/50/25 liability minimum but differ on the rest: Kansas also requires personal injury protection and UM/UIM, while Oklahoma lets you reject uninsured motorist coverage in writing. Full details on our Missouri requirements page.
The state minimum keeps you legal. Whether it keeps you protected is a different question. A single crash involving a late-model pickup can use up $25,000 of property damage coverage, and one ER visit with surgery can exceed the $25,000 per-person injury limit. Anything above your limits can be pursued from you personally. What 25/50/25 means in a real accident.
We price the minimum and at least one higher option on every quote, because the difference usually costs less than people expect.
Insurers price the same driver very differently. One might weigh a ticket heavily; another might care more about the vehicle or your insurance history. An independent agency quotes several companies at once, with the same coverage, so you're comparing honestly. If you've had a ticket, an accident or a lapse, that comparison matters even more. See high-risk auto insurance.
